This information concerns the Certification/Licensing and Accreditation of
Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc.
1. Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc is a general aviation flying school under Civil Aviation Regulations Part 2.2.3.3 and Part 2.2.3.5.
Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc is NOT an Aviation Training Organisation (ATO) according to Civil Aviation Regulations Part 3, which is an organisation that requires a certificate/license from a Regulatory Authority.
Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc. does not require a certificate/license but must have an authorized instructor to sign off the students when ready for exams.
2.2.3.3 AERONAUTICAL KNOWLEDGE
An applicant for a private pilot licence shall receive and log ground training from an authorised instructor or complete a home-study course on the required aeronautical knowledge areas shown in IS: 2.2.3.3.
2.2.3.5 AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE
(a) An applicant for a private pilot licence with an aeroplane, rotorcraft, or powered-lift category rating shall receive and log one of the following minimum flight training times—
(i) at least 40 hours of flight time that includes at least 20 hours of flight training from an authorised instructor, and
(ii) 10 hours of solo flight training in the areas of operation listed in 2.2.3.4,

(b) Except when fewer hours are approved by the Authority, an applicant who has satisfactorily completed a private pilot course conducted by an ATO certified under Part 3, Subpart 3.2 need have only a total of 35 hours of aeronautical experience.
(c) When the applicant has flight time as a pilot of aircraft in other categories, the Authority shall determine whether such experience is acceptable and, if so, the extent to which the flight time requirements of 2.2.3.5(a) may be reduced.
(d) An applicant for a private pilot licence may credit one of the following in an approved flight simulator or an approved flight training device representing the category, class, and type, if applicable, of aircraft appropriate to the rating sought—
(i) a maximum of 2.5 hours of training, if received from an authorised instructor other than an ATO; or
(ii) a maximum of 5 hours of training if the training is accomplished in a course conducted by an ATO certified under Part 3, Subpart 3.2.
2. Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc trains flight attendants and pilots on fully accredited courses from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and from the US Federal Aviation Administration, a US government agency, respectively.
Antigua Flight Training Center, Inc is NOT an IATA or FAA Certified flight school.

To be eligible for a private pilot certificate, a person must:

(d) Receive a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor who:
(1) Conducted the training or reviewed the person’s home study on the aeronautical knowledge areas listed in #61.105(b) of this part that apply to the aircraft rating sought; and
(2) Certified that the person is prepared for the required knowledge test.
61.105 Aeronautical knowledge
(a) General. A person who is applying for a private pilot certificate must receive and log training from an authorised instructor or complete a home-study course on the aeronautical knowledge areas of paragraph (b) of this section that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought.
